Description:

Students from Major Hector P. Garcia High School, an UNO Charter school, are fundraising to raise money for their service trip to South Dakota. The students attending this service trip are focused students, as well as dedicated community activists. They have chosen Mission South Dakota to complete their service trip because of the need of this community.
Students will be traveling by bus to South Dakota where they will volunteer on a reservation to help the community of the Lakota and Dakota people. Students will use skills such as building, sewing, and food distribution. This trip will cost a total of $30,000.00(or $700 per student who attends) to fund the students travel, lodging, food, and supplies.
